Winter Solstice Concert

Insensum & Saint Michael’s Fellowship have the pleasure of inviting you to their Christmas concert (piano, sung and sung word, fragrance) on the theme of “Space”

and the members of Saint Michael’s Fellowship

Insensum’s new fragrance creations – soaps, diffusers and sprays – will be presented and available for sale.

The concert will be followed by a drinks reception.

The Abbey beer of the nuns of La Paix-Notre-Dame Abbey (Liège), one year after its launch, will be featured and available for purchase.

The afternoon will conclude with the celebration of Vespers at 6:00 p.m.

Nothing exists without space, the background that makes all perception possible.
Yet our attention is usually captured by what lies in the foreground — by the ever-changing succession of “now” moments.
Space itself, this unchanging dimension and the most stable element of all, rarely receives our attention.

In the rich treasury of spiritual traditions, especially in the East, we find the teaching that everything that exists arises from space. Similar ideas appear among Christian mystics, who describe God as infinite space and primordial ground from which every moment of “now” is born.

This concert invites you to encounter this infinite space through sound-space (piano music inspired by the theme of space), word-space (selected poetry), and fragrance-space (incense).
